The Tuff-Trek® Overland Series Mk3 Hard Shell Roof Tent is a world class expedition grade unit. It’s robust upgrade was designed for the most demanding adventures. Handcrafted by us in South Africa, this heavy-duty roof tent is engineered to endure all weather conditions, including the harsh rain and winds typical of Northern Hemisphere winter climates, as well as baking heat of the tropics.

Featuring an aerodynamic, rugged aluminium shell with a high-durability textured coating, the Mk3 ensures maximum strength and durability. The tent now opens higher than its predecessor, providing more space and ease when dressing inside. A new double-layer 400g canvas body offers enhanced protection, and for extra winter readiness, we’ve added a third layer of canvas over the windows and doors—making the entire tent body FULLY TWIN-LAYER CANVAS.

Enhanced Storm Protection & Features

Our innovative STORM AWN© design incorporates four spring rods to reduce flapping and improve stability in high winds. It extends over both sides and the rear of the roof tent for added protection and coverage.

Inside, the Overland Mk3 roof top tent comes fully equipped with a comfortable 75mm foam mattress, a removable cover, insulated lower carpet, and convenient storage organizers for both “his” and “hers” gear. A built-in LED light, dual USB and cigarette socket charging points, plus extra storage options enhance convenience. The carpeted interior helps to reduce condensation, keeping you warmer and more comfortable during your adventures.

Durable Design & Easy Mounting

On the exterior, the Mk3 maintains its durable, textured grey and black HAMMERTONE finish, with added BODY ARMOUR protection along the edges and sides, safeguarding the tent from tree branches and rough terrain. The tent is also equipped with aluminium extrusion roof rails, designed for easy mounting with M8 bolts, making installation on your roof rack or bars simple and secure.
